City of Parma Heights, Ohio Recreation Baseball & Softball Program
Welcome to the City of Parma Heights, Ohio Recreation Baseball & Softball Website. We offer summer youth leagues for boys ages 5-16 and girls ages 5-18. Our signups occur in early March but late registration is accepted until the leagues are full. Practices occur two nights per week beginning May 1. All leagues play 2-3 games per week beginning in early June and our leagues run through early August. Our games are in the evenings starting at 6:20 (boys) or 6:15/6:30 (girls, coach pitch & t-ball). All of our leagues ages 9 & up play at least one game under the lights at Kurtz Park (8:30 starts). Additionally, several of our leagues have Saturday morning games.

2018 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
2018 Signup Information: Online registration has been extended until April 20. Online registration for Parma Heights recreation programs can be found HERE.
Key Registration Information: Ages are as of August 1, 2018. Please note, the older boys leagues have been restructured to 9-10 boys, 11-13 boys, and 14-16 boys and the older girls leagues are now 13-14 and 15-18. You will receive a call the week of April 15 from your child(ren)'s manager(s) regarding what team they are on and when practices are.
2018 MLB Pitch, Hit & Run - Our annual Pitch, Hit, & Run contest is scheduled for April 27 (rain date May 4) at Kurtz Park on Kuhn and McMillen Fields. This free event is open to boys & girls ages 7-14 (age determined as of July 17, 2018). You must bring a birth certificate for each participate to show to the staff working the event to verify the date of birth in order to be eligible to advance to the sectional competition should you win an event in the age group.
2018 Opening Day is slated for Saturday, June 2.
New Bat Rule: All softball leagues must use ASA approved bats with a 2 1/4 inch diameter. Coach pitch and t-ball leagues are little league approved bats with a 2 1/4 inch diameter. Baseball leagues 9-10 and up can use a maximum of a drop-eight 2 5/8 inch diameter. No composite bats are allowed any any leagues.
